Folk singer and composer Mark Erelli returns to the Salmon Brook Music Series on Saturday, June 9. Since his first album, Signature Sounds, in 1999, his rigorous touring schedule has included the major folk festivals at Newport and Philadelphia.
Open Cockpit Day
The New England Air Museum will hold an Open Cockpit Day on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Special activities include climb-aboard experiences in historic aircraft, flight simulators, hands-on Build and Fly Challenges, and much more. A variety of aircraft will be open for visitors including the WWII-era Republic P-47D, the Vietnam War-era Bell UH-1B “Huey” helicopter, as well as supersonic jet fighters including the North American F-100 Super Sabre jet fighter and the Lockheed F-104C Starfighter.

Dragon Boat Experience
On Friday, Aug. 24, at 9:30 a.m., join us for this exciting 1.5 hour Dragon Boat program.
The Destiny Africa Children’s Choir 2018 World Tour is coming to Granby in June. This multi-talented children’s choir has been touring worldwide since 2009 and delivers an amazing, heartfelt experience of joy and hope.

Antique Car Show
Saturday, June 2, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on the society’s grounds.
Granby Ambulance Association will hold its second classic car show at Mark’s Auto Parts in East Granby on June 23. All proceeds will benefit the Mary H. Hausmann Scholarship fund.
The Granby Performing Arts at Granby Memorial Middle School presents Just Like Us, a play about accepting differences and seeing the best in everyone. There’s a land of Blues and Greens and they are having a hard time getting along until a stranger from the land of Purple arrives and helps them accept their neighbors for who they are.
With the support of a State of Connecticut Small Farm Viability Grant, funds raised by the Friends of Holcomb Farm, and—most critically—hundreds of hours of volunteer time, renovation of the CSA Barn is well underway and on schedule for completion in advance of the annual opening of the Holcomb Farm CSA and Farm Store.
