A funky swing band director is forming a community jazz band in Granby, and seeking members to play at venues in the Granbys, Hartlands and Simsbury. The director received the entire set of music from the Valley Swing Shift Big Band upon its retirement and is set to share this glorious music with other volunteers interested in sustaining the rich heritage.
