Round in Common Time is a choral piece written this spring to express love, gratitude and support for the essential workers in the coronavirus pandemic. As a Granby musician and poet, I composed the piece as a song/prayer for those risking their lives to help the rest of us survive.

Virtuoso violinist Emlyn Ngai and the Hartt Collegium Musicum will perform music of the 17th and 18th centuries at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, at South Church, 242 Salmon Brook Street. The Bruce Porter Memorial Music Series is proud to welcome the Hartt Collegium back to Granby for the fourth time.
