Each time I drive by the house at 28 Copper Hill Road, I think of George Guay. Guay lived in that house while running his grocery store for nearly half a century.

Each time I drive by the house at 28 Copper Hill Road, I think of George Guay. Guay lived in that house while running his grocery store for nearly half a century.
The Town of Granby has funding available for a Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program that provides funding to income-eligible property owners for housing related repairs.
The first Memphis public library opened in 1893. The benefactor was none other than Frederick H. Cossitt, the former Granby resident and philanthropist.
The Granby Drummer has featured stories of building projects in several regions of Nigeria through the nonprofit group Africa Education Partnership. Board member and retired Granby teacher, Elaine Chagnon, along with husband Bob, a retired DATTCO, Inc. controller, have been working on sending school buses to Kafanchan, Nigeria.

GLT president Rick Orluk presented Gamble with the award and an original oil painting by Gamble’s friend, local artist Bill Simpson, in a board meeting on the Dismal Brook Wildlife Preserve.
The Granby Camera Club is not able to use the Senior Center for its meetings at this time, but that does not keep us from sharing, communicating and enjoying photography with monthly Zoom meetings.
Please consider donating your bottles and cans to the Granby 4-H Robotics program on Saturday, Dec. 5, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at South Congregational Church.
The Granby Multiple Sclerosis Support Group will resume when the Granby Senior Center reopens.
The next Granby Men’s Breakfast will be on Friday, Dec. 11. As the Drummer went to press, the program was uncertain but there will be a meeting via Zoom.
