In a sign that things are starting to get back to normal in the museum world, the New England Air Museum has announced an expansion of its hours to accommodate more visitors while enabling them to maintain a comfortable distance from others. The new hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the museum will be open every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Key at this time is the State’s budget and bills that have been summarily hustled through the legislative process managed by the Democrat majority.
The Windsor Historical Society is celebrating the reopening of the historic Chaffee House and museum with a new focus. Closed for the past year, the reopening exhibit concept illuminates the Black experience in Windsor and the surrounding area.

A first Memorial Day parade for this youngster was also a welcome return of Granby’s salute to the heroes that gave their all.
We are free! Mask-free! Not 100 percent of the time, but today, as I write this, is the first time in 15 months that I can legally and ethically go mask-less both outdoors and indoors —imagine!
On May 2, 72 people from the Granby area assembled on the town green in a public display of support for the local LBGTQ+ community and the Connecticut Parentage Act legislation. Granby resident Audrey Lampert organized the rally.
The Friends of Granby Public Library (FOGPL) will accept donations June 14 through July 17.
