The Town of Granby Youth Service Bureau offered its Safe Dates Boot Camp for the first time over winter break. Nine of the 10 middle-schoolers provided 100 percent positive reviews of the program, despite not being thrilled that they had been signed up to take the class in the first place! Wells Road students were excited to participate in Simsbury Public Library’s Mini Maker Faire on Saturday, April 1. No Fooling! The newly formed MakerSpace Club accepted the challenge to design and create marble runs out of cardboard, water bottles, popsicle sticks and other common materials, and demonstrated them at a booth at the Faire. A new fine arts scholarship for GMHS graduates will be offered for the class of 2018. Granby resident Susan Patricelli-Regan is establishing the scholarship in her mother’s name.Sylvia Davis Patricelli was a young and well-known portrait painter in Sydney, Australia, who had attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
