As the leaves turn and we head into the season of gratitude, the Farmington Valley YMCA is reflecting on what truly matters—community, connection and compassion. November at the Y is a time to celebrate the heart of our mission: strengthening the foundations of community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The Granby Artists Association (GAA) will host their annual Holiday Gift Show at Granby Congregational Church’s North Campus, 219 North Granby Road Dec. 6 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Shop for original works of art created by your favorite local artists.
Granby Racial Reconciliation (GRR) believes we can if we get to know one another and actually listen to each other. On Wednesday, Nov. 19, GRR will present An Example of Civil Discourse: A Breath of Fresh Air for Polarized Times.
On Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, the Granby Drummer will host its third Puzzle Slam competition and fundraiser at the Granby Memorial Middle School. A midwestern favorite, speed puzzling has risen in popularity in recent years.
Join the Friends of the Granby Public Libraries for a puzzle and game sale on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to noon at the main library. Browse a wide variety of puzzles and games—perfect for all ages!
Looking to spread the news about a fundraiser (car wash, bake sale, etc.) for your nonprofit? Or is your group seeking new members or leaders but don’t know how to get the word out? For Granby community groups lacking the funds to advertise, the Drummer may be able to help.
Granby Parks and Recreation is busy with myriad sports activities including youth fly fishing or mountain biking. Adults can also enjoy a mountain biking class, yoga or drop-in basketball.
Granby Homes for Senior Citizens, which operates Stony Hill Village, will hold its annual Friends of Stony Hill Village meeting on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the community room at 259 Salmon Brook Street.
