The Town of Granby America250 Time Capsule has arrived—and it is quite large, so that it can hold many memories from 2026.
Several groups in town have been invited to contribute, including notes, mementos and other items for inclusion. The capsule will be buried on Sunday, July 26, at 4 p.m. on the main campus of the Salmon Brook Historical Society, 208 Salmon Brook Street. The exact site will be between the Milk Shed and the Granby Oak II tree, in front of the new Historical Gravestone Interpretive Area. The goal is to reopen the time capsule in 50 years (2076) as part of America’s 300th celebration.
