Members of the Granby Artists Association enjoyed the Open House on Nov. 22, hosted by Eric Mainardi, co-owner of One Park Place, next to Grass Roots Ice Cream. The event kicked off the holiday season for all of the building’s tenants.

Land Trust adds beauty to the Dewey-Granby Oak property

Granby Land Trust board member Eric Lukingbeal was particularly taken by the naturalized fields of daffodils in various places as he passed through Litchfield and West Granby last spring. It occurred to him that a field of flowers might be just the ticket to brighten up and add interest to the Land Trust’s Dewey-Granby Oak property, and he set a plan in motion.

White oak planted in celebration of the nation’s first arborist law

To celebrate the passage of the nation’s first Arborist Law right here in the State of Connecticut 100 years ago, the Connecticut Tree Protective Association (CTPA) provided a white oak for each of the state’s 169 towns.
