As we drove towards Pyramid Lake, I said to Dan, “Too bad we didn’t start earlier. I’ve heard that the lake’s rock formations, especially the iconic Pyramid Rock, are breathtaking right at dawn and again as the sun goes down.”
The mood changed in an instant, from the usual smiles and light banter to horrified looks and stern warnings.
About 12 years ago, my son Gage and I first discussed the idea of fishing in every state together. At the time, we were fishing with our friend Dan.
