Fall in New England always means it’s apple season! This recipe came to me from the Bellott family in Granby. Very easy, very delicious and the recipe makes two loaves—one to keep and one to share with family, friends or co-workers.
I hope you try this recipe while the farmstands are full of produce. While visiting my husband’s cousin in Italy in August, she served us the most delicious caponata as an appetizer. There are lots of variations but this recipe is closest to the one we had. Enjoy!
As summer fades and cooler days creep in, I always start thinking about soup season. This Crab Bisque is a longtime family favorite—rich, delicious, and the perfect comfort food as we transition into fall.
So delighted to share this recipe—I made it many moons ago for a Cook sister’s gathering and birthday celebration for our mom. This is a perfect salad for summer gatherings or barbecues, and might taste even better the next day—if there is any leftover.
I found this recipe a few years ago and it gets rave reviews wherever I serve it. Quick, delicious and nutritious—it doesn’t get better than that. And it’s a beautiful and colorful way to celebrate our new awakening in springtime!
It really felt like spring this week and I searched for new recipes to celebrate the end of dark winter days. I found this recipe and tweaked it a bit. My family loved it—and I’m happy to share it.
My grandmother Katie Hurley immigrated from Ireland as a young girl. Though I never had the privilege of knowing her firsthand, my mom always kept her memory alive with wonderful stories, and most importantly, by celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in a big way.
