Each and every spring the Granby Land Trust is reminded how fortunate Granby is that Jamie Gamble chose to preserve this beautiful place, which is alive with activity right now. Don Shaw, Jr. captured its spring visitors in these photos.
No one should go hungry in Granby, or anywhere. In response to a growing need to provide adequate access to food and household essentials for Granby-area families in need, Granby residents once again generously supported First Congregational Church’s monthly food drive and helped it achieve new heights in support of the Granby Food Bank— this time in collaboration with Granby potter Avis Cherichetti.
On a cool November morning in 2016, a tractor-trailer emblazoned with the Monrovia logo arrived promptly at 9 a.m. at the Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity home in West Granby. It was loaded with fresh, locally grown stock from its Granby nursery ready for planting at the new home.
