No one should go hungry in Granby, or anywhere. In response to a growing need to provide adequate access to food and household essentials for Granby-area families in need, Granby residents once again generously supported First Congregational Church’s monthly food drive and helped it achieve new heights in support of the Granby Food Bank— this time in collaboration with Granby potter Avis Cherichetti.

On Nov. 7, the food drive netted a pickup truck full of food and necessities, and more than $1,700 in donations from Cherichetti’s pottery sales. First Congregational Church and Cherichetti believe community collaborations lead to community solutions. We thank all who answered the call to donate.

First Church’s upcoming Granby food drives will be Saturdays, Dec. 5, and Jan. 2, from 9 – 11 a.m. at 219 North Granby Road.
