GMHS singers attended the UCONN Brothers Sing On Festival on Saturday, Oct. 14 under the baton of Dr. Jamie Spillane.
The Granby Land Trust (GLT) announces that it has been awarded renewed accreditation by the Land Trust Alliance, proving that it is committed to professional excellence and to maintaining the public’s trust in its conservation work. The GLT provided extensive documentation and was subject to a comprehensive third-party evaluation prior to achieving this distinction.

On Sept. 24, at 7 p.m., a Board of Education Forum was conducted in the Granby Memorial High School Auditorium by Mr. Dombrowski’s Honors Civics Class.

During my recent office hours, an attendee asked whether the fiscal planning work contemplates enough negative impact from the state aid reductions and cost shifting. This individual was the only one to show at either of the two office sessions that were held who isn’t a candidate nor is politically connected.
The district participated in Sandy Hook Promise Safety and Assessment and Intervention (SAI) training. SAI is a national evidenced-based violence prevention program which establishes and trains multidisciplinary teams/school safety teams within schools to identify, assess and respond to threats of violence.
The 37th Annual Used Book Sale held in September resulted in our most successful one yet with over $13,100 raised by the Friends of the Granby Public Library. Nothing like a nice sunny weekend to draw a crowd.
