The Granby Memorial Day parade will be held Monday, May 29. The honorary parade marshall will be Gilbert F. Justo who served with the U.S. Army 101 Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict. The parade will line up at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot on Bank Street and step off at 10 a.m. sharp. Led by John Weeks and Christine Chinni, the walks have become a springtime tradition in town.This year the sky was overcast for the May 13 walk, but the rain held off. Twenty people turned out and the birds cooperated nicely, treating the participants to many superb looks. Ten beautiful warbler species all came in for close-ups.
