Last month we shared photos and crew notes on some of the crew, and we are delighted to introduce the rest!

Kim is a member of the Farm Crew.

Years at the farm: six. From St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Favorite Holcomb crop: watermelon. When Kim isn’t farming here, he is spending time with his kids, fixing things around the house and doing a little farming at home. Field gear Kim can’t live without: his work boots and his baseball cap. Beverages that sustain Kim in the summer: a cold beer after work and Malta.
Melody is the Farm Store manager, bookkeeper and occasional farm crew member.

Years at the farm: five. From Ellington. Favorite Holcomb crop: melons, winter spinach, delicata squash, arugula. When Melody isn’t farming, she is reading voraciously, hiking the Granby Land Trust trails, spending time with friends and family and training for the occasional marathon. Field gear Melody can’t live without: Duluth Trading Co. overalls and her Blundstone boots. Beverages that keep Melody going in the summer: nectar electrolyte drinks and homemade iced maple lattes. Hanna is CSA communications manager, farm crew and Farm Store worker.

Years at the farm: five. From Wheaton, Ill. Favorite Holcomb crop: eggplant, escarole, strawberries. When Hanna isn’t farming, she is reading, cooking, hiking, playing with her dog, doing yoga and spending time with family. Field gear Hanna can’t live without: Dovetail ripstop pants, Coolibar sunhat and Blundstone lug boots. Beverages that sustain Hanna in the summer: La Colombe cold brew, protein smoothie, water with electrolytes. Dream Jeopardy category: animals or Taylor Swift lyrics.
Mckean is a member of the Farm Crew.

Years at the farm: three. From St. Ann, Jamaica. Favorite Holcomb crop: melon. When Mckean isn’t farming here he is farming at home in Jamaica. Field gear Mckean can’t live without: his harvest knife. Beverages that sustain Mckean in the summer: Lucozade. Dream Jeopardy category: music.
Danovan is a member of the Farm Crew.

Years at the farm: two. From Westmoreland, Jamaica. Favorite Holcomb crop: melon. When Danovan isn’t farming here he is farming at home in Jamaica. Field gear Danovan can’t live without: his harvest knife. Beverages that sustain Danovan in the summer: Malta. Dream Jeopardy category: music.
McKenzie is a member of the Farm Crew.

Years at the farm: first season. From Granby. Favorite Holcomb crop: silver slicer cucumber. When McKenzie isn’t farming, she is walking her Labradors. Field gear McKenzie can’t live without: her baseball hat, 64 oz Hydroflask, lots of sunscreen. Beverages that sustain McKenzie in the summer: cup of coffee in the morning and the coconut green tea from the farm store for lunch. Dream Jeopardy category: Survivor (her favorite tv show).
Tim is a member of the Farm Crew.

Years at the farm: first season. From Granby. Favorite Holcomb crop: strawberries. When Tim isn’t farming he is painting, riding mountain bikes, kayaking, or doing anything outside. Field gear Tim can’t live without: his sunglasses. Beverages that sustain Tim in the summer: anything caffeinated in the morning and anything with electrolytes after that. Dream Jeopardy category: Seinfeld references.
Sarah is a member of the Farm Crew.

Years at the farm: first season on the crew, workshare last year. From Camden, Maine. Favorite Holcomb crop: myriads of tomatoes. When Sarah isn’t farming she is a mom of two, gardening, working as a director of place-based education within the Alvord Center for global and environmental studies at Loomis Chaffee School. Field gear Sarah can’t live without: Carhartt overalls (rolled up) and her neon sunglasses. Beverages that sustain Sarah in the summer: strong coffee and salty electrolytes. Dream Jeopardy category: pollution and prevention.
Paula is a volunteer on the Farm Crew, and a Friends of Holcomb Farm Board Member.

Years at the farm: six. From Corinne, Utah. Favorite Holcomb crop: fall kohlrabi. When Paula isn’t farming she is walking dogs and teaching kayaking and stand up paddleboard. Field gear Paula can’t live without: her belt. Beverages that sustain Paula in the summer: Liquid IV electrolytes in her water. Dream Jeopardy category: whitewater rivers.
