Aggressive sales calls

I’ve lived in Granby for 56 years, and love my little home here. For more than two months I have received phone calls asking if I planned on selling my house within the next six months. I replied “no” each time and asked them not to call again.

The calls continued, sometimes twice a day—morning and evening. When I asked them the name of the company they replied “a private investor” or “a group of realtors.” The only names I ever received were the first names of the callers—different each time.

I felt very uneasy about this intrusion on my quiet, simple life. I stopped answering the phone unless I was expecting a call.

It saddens me that some uncaring people would harass, frighten, and disturb the peace of an elderly person.
