Support for Wilke

I would like to put in word for the candidacy of Al Wilke for reelection to the Board of Finance.

In addition to Al’s 18 years of service to the Granby BOF, he has also demonstrated his love for Granby through his contributions of time, physical resources and ideas to a number of volunteer boards. These relationships have contributed to our Community’s quality of life!

For example: Al was involved with the decision to build the Farmington Valley YMCA on Salmon Brook Street in Granby. Our Y is a prototype of suburban YMCA facilities. Many of us have used it regularly. He was involved with early efforts to acquire and then obtain contributed funding for the Holcomb Farm. Al was a long-time member of the Granby Education Foundation board of directors. His fingerprints are on successful funding efforts from the Salmon Brook Ecology Center to today’s GMHS TV Studio.

All of these efforts involved funds contributed from Granby citizens interested in and wanting to support them. When it comes to the question of care for Granby’s taxpayer dollars, the record speaks for itself! Al has a proven record of responsible and conservative management of our dollars.

Vote for Al Wilke. Granby is fortunate to have him on the ballot!
