Household Hazardous waste collection: Saturday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Simsbury DPW facility, 66 Town Forest Rd., Simsbury.
Foxfield F.A.R.M. Foundation foxfieldrecoverymission is the recipient of a $2,500 donation from Northwest Community Bank via the State of Connecticut Neighborhood Tax Credit Program.

The Hometown Foundation Inc (hometownfoundation.org) is a non-profit charitable foundation established in 2002, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals and their families in hometowns and surrounding communities where they operate.
Both libraries will be closed on Nov. 11 for Veterans Day, and Nov. 28 and 29 for Thanksgiving.
