The Granby chapter of UNICO awarded four college scholarships of $2,000 each to graduating seniors from Granby.
Eight youths from Granby 4-H along with one leader, Rachael Manzer, successfully launched three experiments into space on a NASA rocket. The three experiments included “Bees in Space” that launched honeycombs, “Rubber Bands in Space,” and “Gallium in Space,” all of which were proposed by 4-Hers themselves.
The Farmington Valley Chorale, with Ellen Gilson Voth, artistic director, begins rehearsals for its 2018/2019 season on Sunday, Sept. 9, 7 to 9 p.m. at Simsbury United Methodist Church, 799 Hopmeadow Street.
