Mum Sale to Benefit Cat Shelter

Mary’s Kitty Korner, located at 281 Salmon Brook St., will be selling mums to benefit their no-kill cat shelter. Granby Land Trust Presentation

The public is invited to a presentation, Granby Land Trust and the Salmon Brooks: A Symbiosis, by Richard Caley. Annual Amaryllis Bulb Sale

The Granby Senior Club’s third annual Amaryllis Bulb Sale starts Sept. 7. This year’s selection is Candy Floss, a 12-inch stem in luminous rose pink with darker pink striations and a green throat with dusty pink antlers. SBHS Engine Show

On Saturday, Oct. 1 the Salmon Brook Historical Society, 208 Salmon Brook Street, will have its annual Small Engine Show, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. See how engines got started with hit and miss engines, engines used to make shingles, farm tractors, Model T’s and A’s.
