Granby is again working with local towns to host hazardous waste collections this year. The first collection will be Saturday, April 23 from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at 10 Monteith Drive, Farmington.
The Farmington Valley CT Heritage Network, formerly Historic Sites of Connecticut’s Farmington Valley, will hold its first bus tour in three years. This long-awaited event on Saturday, April 30, explores “Lively Lore and Legends: Fact or Fiction?”, focusing on the towns of Barkhamsted, Granby and Simsbury.

The 51st running of the Granby Road Race is returning to May! After a few years of the race being held in September, the Granby Road Race Committee is excited to announce that in less than three months, the race will return to the first Saturday in May.
On March 2, the Granby Women’s Breakfast group will have as its guest speaker Jenn Abalan, Granby’s Animal Control Officer. She will entertain with stories she has collected during her years protecting the variety of animals she has encountered.
Native American women– their past and impact on our lives today–will be the focus of a talk that George G. Ducharme, Ph.D. will present to the Granby Women’s Breakfast Group on Wednesday, April 6, at 9 a.m. at the Granby Senior Center.
On June 18 Granby will celebrate its inaugural Granby Celebrates Juneteenth event in Salmon Brook Park. Sponsored by Granby Racial Reconciliation (GRR), it promises to be a fun day of music, dance, food, and entertainment for the entire family.
