Hartt Chamber Choir at South Church

The Hartt Chamber Choir will be joined by the Hartt Chorale in an eclectic program of works from the Renaissance period at 4 p.m., March 10, at South Congregational Church, 242 Salmon Brook Street. Bruce Porter Memorial Music Series concerts are free to the public, with a suggested donation of $10.

Granby’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is hosting a presentation by Eversource on the characteristics, issues, and dangers presented by power lines. Power lines on the poles present dangers as well as those downed by accidents or Mother Nature.

On Saturday, Feb. 2, the Noble and Cooley Center for Historic Preservation (NCCHP) will re-create a small scale ice cutting on the pond at 42 Water Street, off of Route 189, in Granville, Mass.

The New England Air Museum will hold its second Open Cockpit Day for 2019 on Saturday, Feb. 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Special activities include climb-aboard experiences in historic aircraft; flight simulators; hands-on Build and Fly Challenges, and much more.

Mary’s Kitty Korner, Granby’s no-kill cat shelter, is looking for volunteers to help care for its kitties until they find their “fur-ever” homes. If you love cats and have time to spare on a weekday morning or evening or on a weekend morning or afternoon, the shelter would love to hear from you.
