The American Legion will hold its famous pancake breakfast on Saturday, April 14, from 6 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Post Hall, 244 North Granby Road. The date coincides with the opening of fishing season.

The Granby Camera Club will meet on Monday, April 2 at the Granby Senior Center at 7 p.m. Jay Harder will present a program on Macro Photography. The scavenger hunt words are Favorite, Graffiti, and Water. To learn more about the club go to: GranbyCameraClub.com.
Valley Pre-School’s annual Spring Tag Sale will be held Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Early birds can begin shopping at 8:30 a.m. for a $10 donation to the school. The sale will held at First Congregational Church/Valley Pre-School, 219 North Granby Road, inside Cook Hall.
Mary’s Kitty Korner, a no-kill cat shelter in Granby Center, is looking for volunteers to help care for its kitties until they find their “fur-ever” homes. If you love cats and have some time to spare on a weekday morning or evening or on a weekend morning or afternoon the shelter would love to hear from you.
After a two-month winter break, the Granby Civic Club will meet on Thursday, March 15, 1 p.m. in the Senior Center. A local resident will share the Granby history of the retired gentlemen’s sport of Foxhound hunting.
The Granby Camera Club will meet on Monday, March 5, at the Granby Senior Center at 7 p.m. The program will feature guest photographer Lisa Cuchara, who will share her talents and photographic interests with the club. The scavenger hunt words are favorite, still life, and blue hour (the hour before sunrise or the hour after sunset).
Historic Sites of Farmington Valley
Saturday, April 28: Farmington River Currents thru Time Bus Tour includes towns of Farmington, Unionville and Burlington. 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. with Farmington pickup/drop off.

The youth at Pilgrim Covenant Church will host a Swedish Pancake Breakfast and Scandinavian Bake Sale on Saturday, March 3, 8 to 10 a.m. at Pilgrim Covenant Church, 605 Salmon Brook St., just before the Massachusetts state line. This is a donation-breakfast benefiting the youth groups.
On Wednesday, March 7, the Tainted Beauty Studio with Angela Cortez returns for a program entitled The Expressive Beauty Bunch for the Granby Women’s Breakfast program. Breakfast at the Granby Senior Center starts at 8:30 a.m. with the program beginning at 9 a.m. Cost is $4.
