May is here! Bringing with it the sounds of birds chirping, frogs croaking and the sweet smell of spring blossoms. This means it’s time to put on garden gloves, clean up the dormant planting beds, and prepare our soil for a new year of growth.
It is that most wonderful time of the year—the holiday season. And with the holiday season coming upon us, we are in search of that most perfect Christmas tree. One that stands tall and festive, to be adorned with lights and ornaments, shining brightly in our home, the centerpiece of celebrations.
Now that Halloween is near, and we are rolling into November, we realize that we have a bunch of fall decor and pumpkins adorning our porch steps and walkways if the bears haven’t dined on them. It would be nice to get some extra life out of the orange and white gourds, a warm and festive fall feel.
Summer months are slipping by, and fall is right around the corner with its shorter days and cooler nights. Many think that the end of summer heralds the end of our planting and garden season. That is not necessarily the case.
September is upon us. Our hot, steamy months of gardening are turning into cooler nights, shorter days and a slow down to the summer planting season. But we are still contending with the weeds.
We are hot and heavy into our summer season, and our flower and vegetable gardens are bursting with growth and color.
