Seventy percent of Americans trust information from local news sources, according to an October 2025 report by Pew Research, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, non-advocacy research center. When it comes to local media, people still care about and trust their local journalists.
The Drummer, Granby’s nonprofit local newspaper, strives to accurately report what our community is all about. Our dedicated staff, volunteers and our committed advertisers are key to our success in letting you know what is happening in our town. With support from generous donors, community grants and our Annual Puzzle Competition fundraiser (see below), the Drummer continues to publish local news that matters.
Bringing local news to Granby is why we began more than 55 years ago and why we exist today as an independent local publisher. To help sustain our efforts in a time when an average of two newspapers close each week, we respectfully ask for your support now.
We are deeply grateful for any donation in any amount. To make a donation online, please use the Donate Now button at the top of this page.
You may also mail your contribution by check payable to The Granby Drummer, P.O. Box 165, Granby, CT 06035. To donate by credit card, email editor@granbydrummer.org

Thank you for your generosity. Your support matters!
