A phenomenal breakfast spread on the morning of Sept. 14 honored the retirement of two of Granby’s important contributors: Kirk Severance of Public Works and Paul Willis of the Registrar’s office. Members of both Granby and East Granby public works were present in addition to Granby officials and friends of the honorees.

Town Manager Mike Walsh, First Selectman Mark Fiorentino, Selectmen Fred Moffa, Peggy Chapple and Mark Neumann and Dan Wolfe spoke of the contributions Severance and Willis have made to the community. Eric Lukingbeal of Holcomb Farm’s Tree Trail presented Severance with a certificate noting that a tree will be planted on the trail in his name in appreciation of his expediting help to resolve situations that arose at the arboretum over the years.
