July 4 Parade
Parade start time is 9 a.m. at the high school/middle school complex. The route follows Route 10/202 to Salmon Brook Park.
This event is a celebration of American independence. Parade units are encouraged to enter floats, bring music and hand-out patriotic swag. Prevent litter—no tossing of candy, passing out by hand is okay. Parade Units from surrounding towns are invited to participate.
All Parade Units must fill out the Granby Independence Day Parade Sign-Up form, found at post182alct.org/parades
Funding for 26 banners has been collected, representing 85 percent of the goal. The committee approved the proposed design of the banners as created by SignPro.
Proposed Events
In addition to the July 4 parade, a picnic and bonfire are planned for that weekend.
Installing a Time Capsule at the Salmon Brook Historical Society will be July 26.
