What makes Holcomb Farm’s CSA different?

We are a choice-based CSA, which means as a full- or half-share member, you get to choose the vegetables you prefer most every week, rather than us choosing for you. Pick-Your-Own members get to directly harvest their own vegetables, herbs and flowers right out of our fields. Every week, you’ll leave the farm with an abundance of nutritious produce and the confidence that your meals are chemical-free and support a holistic, non-profit farm.

We offer three different-sized shares to meet your household’s needs. Select any combination of options:

Full Share: This is a great option for families or veggie-centered households. An example of a full share for one week during the season could be: two pounds of tomatoes, one pound of eggplant, one pound of cucumbers, one pound of sweet peppers, one pound of onions, one garlic bulb, one bunch of chard, one bunch of kale, one quart of potatoes, 1 pint of jalapenos and one watermelon. Full shares are about $38 per week for 21 weeks.

Half-Share: This is a great option for smaller households. An example of a half-share for one week during the season could be: one pound of onions, one pound of zucchini, one pound of tomatoes, one bunch of kale, one bulb of garlic and one quart of potatoes. Of course, you would pick the vegetables you like most, e.g., if you don’t like kale, you could opt for something else. Half-shares are about $20 per week for 21 weeks.

Pick-Your-Own Share: This a great option for members who want to directly connect with their food and harvest it themselves. The PYO has more specialty crops than you’ll find in the full- or half-shares, like flowers, berries, strawberries, herbs, cherry tomatoes and more. The PYO can be its own stand-alone membership or combined with half- and full-shares, the latter being the most common. PYO shares are about $10 a week for 21 weeks. Our members say the PYO provides them with more than fresh produce: it provides a quiet place to retreat to, a learning opportunity for children, a chance to spend time outside in nature and a place to try something new.
