Four Granby nonprofits are the first to benefit from the generous grant provided by the Granby Community Fund (GCF); their ads are placed free of charge in this issue.
Citizens for a Better Granby (publisher of the Drummer) received the GCF grant with the intention of helping other Granby nonprofits raise their visibility within the community. Through the July 2026 issue the CBG Board will use the grant funds to finance advertising for nonprofit organizations that are based in Granby and operate with a small budget. Qualifying as a 501(c)(3) is not required.
In order to stretch grant dollars and help as many organizations as possible, the ads will be printed in black ink only. CBG encourages organizations to develop their own ads, which should be submitted as PDFs, but the Drummer may also provide assistance in developing an ad.
To apply, please send an email to ads@granbydrummer.org and request consideration for an ad using the GCF grant funds. Include the following information:
• Name of charitable organization
• Name and phone number for primary contact
• Goal(s) of the organization and how long it has been in Granby
• Approximate size of the group’s operating budget
• Brief description of what your ad would be about
Submissions need to be made in advance of the advertising deadline for each issue. Both ad and copy deadlines can be viewed online at granbydrummer.com/deadlines/
Submissions are reviewed on an ongoing basis as they are received, so your chances of being funded are higher the earlier you apply!
