Ten races on the ballot

Both major parties had uncontested slates at their respective July nominating meetings and all required paperwork was submitted on time and accepted by the Town Clerk. There are 10 races with a total of 22 openings. Only four races are contested—board of selectmen, board of finance, board of education and town moderator.

Public lottery

A public lottery was held on Aug. 6 at Town Hall to determine horizontal placement of nominated candidates (determining which name is first, second, etc. on each party line).
