Granby Public Schools is excited to welcome Ashly Darnell as the next principal of Granby Memorial Middle School. Darnell was selected from a robust pool of highly qualified applicants, and her depth of experience, student-centered leadership, and commitment to building strong relationships immediately rose to the top. Darnell’s warmth, professionalism, strong instructional and operational background were evident throughout the committee’s interview process.
Having grown up in the area, Darnell is excited to be closer to family while serving the Granby Public Schools community. She brings extensive experience as a secondary school administrator, with a background in student support, special education, curriculum and instruction and daily school operations. Darnell joined Granby Public Schools in August and has already made a smooth transition into her new role. The district looks forward to her leadership.
