Roberts was delegate to World Federation of United Nations Associations Plenary

West Granby resident Dave Roberts was selected to serve as a delegate in the United Nations Association of the United States of America delegation to the 44th World Federation of United Nations Associations Plenary Assembly and World Congress in Geneva, Switzerland.

The international gathering, which occurs once every three years, was Aug. 26–28 at the World Health Organization headquarters brought together representatives of United Nations Associations from around the world under the theme “Reclaiming Multilateralism.”

Roberts currently serves as president of the United Nations Association of Connecticut, an elected New England representative on the UNA-USA National Council and chair of Connecticut Lions Day with the United Nations.

The National Council serves as a liaison between the regional network and the UNA-USA national office, supporting activities that advance the organization’s mission to educate, inspire, and mobilize Americans in support of the United Nations.

Roberts said he was honored to have been selected for the Geneva delegation, representing Connecticut and the United States while exchanging ideas with United Nations Association leaders worldwide.
