Get your 2026 dog license tag
The Town of Granby reminds residents that the 2026 dog licensing year starts on June 1.
All residents who own one or more dogs that are six months or older are required to license the dogs by July 1. A valid rabies vaccination certificate is required to license a dog. Residents who acquire a dog at any point during the year must license the new pet within 30 days of ownership.
Dog licensing fees (per C.G.S. 22-338) are: $8 for spayed or neutered dogs, $19 for unaltered dogs.
Late fees may apply if dogs are not licensed by June 30 and a $75 fine may be issued by the Granby Animal Control Officer for any unlicensed dogs after Aug. 1.
