Granby Bible Study
The “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” discussion of religious history influences on Thomas Jefferson happened in May. Contact us to schedule any additional presentations or questions such as “What would Jefferson do?” (if here today) or “Are we a Christian nation?” A presentation recording is available upon request.

Civic Club
The Granby Civic Club will meet at Lost Acres Orchard and Farmstore Kitchen and Bakery on Thursday, June 18 at noon. It has been the Club’s tradition the past 22 years to hold its final meeting of the year at the Orchard, partaking of a fabulous farm-to-table luncheon, discussing current events of the town and planning future club activities. Members enjoy a great time of food, fun and fellowship in the beautiful and historic open barn. Reservations required by June 17.

SBHS Events
The Salmon Brook Historical Society at 208 Salmon Brook Street in Granby is online at salmonbrookhistoricalsociety.com
The Research Library in the Preservation Barn is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to noon or by appointment by calling 860-653-9713. Research fee $25 per hour.
The Museum Store has a great assortment of Granby items. Located in the Enders House, the store is open Thursdays, 9 a.m. to noon. Purchases may be made on Tuesdays at the Preservation Barn, 9 a.m. to noon.
Dates with * will include a tour of the Aaron Draper Shattuck Collection in the Preservation Barn.
The society’s Summer House Tours on the main campus will be open from 2 to 4 p.m. on the following Sundays: June 14*, June 28, July 12*, a special America 250 exhibit on July 26, Aug. 16*, Aug. 30, Sept. 13*, and Sept. 27. Tours include the Weed-Enders House, Abijah Rowe House, Colton-Hayes Tobacco Barn and Cooley School. Admission fees are adults $5, children and seniors $2, family maximum $12. Members are always free.
The Wilcox House, located at 143 Simsbury Road, will be open for tours from 10 a.m. to noon on the following Saturdays: June 13, July 11 and Aug. 22. These tours are free and open to the public.
On Open Farm Day, Saturday, Sept. 12, both the Tobacco Barn and Wilcox House will be open 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Camera Club
The Granby Camera Club will have a field trip on Monday, June 1. We will be photographing in Collinsville and ending with ice cream at Grassroots in Granby. Those that wish to car pool will meet at the Granby Senior Center at 6 p.m. We will return for ice cream at 8 p.m.
Women’s Breakfast
The Granby Women’s Breakfast Group will meet on Wednesday, June 3. The speaker will be a returning favorite, Metro Bis Chef Chris Prosperi. Please join us to see what’s cooking! Breakfast is at 8:30 a.m. with the program at 9 a.m. It is necessary to register in advance by calling 860-844-5352 or register on the Senior Center website. Cost remains $5.
Men’s Breakfast
Mark your calendar for Friday, June 12. The Men’s Breakfast Group speaker will be Mark Williams presenting a history of Granby, in anticipation of the America 250 celebrations.
You must register for the breakfast by calling the Granby Senior Center at 860-844-5350 or registering at the Senior Center website. Your early registration significantly helps the food and seating plan. The cost remains $5. See you there.
