Camera Club
The Granby Camera Club will meet on Monday, April 6 at 7 p.m. at the Granby Senior Center. The program will be Critiquing with Robert Floyd. This is the perfect time to bring some images on a memory stick to share. Floyd always has positive commentary to share as to how we can improve our photography skills.
Women’s Breakfast
The Women’s Breakfast Group will meet on Wednesday, April 1. The speaker will be Rev. Jane Willan. A writer and pastor, Willan blends her love of storytelling, faith and community into books filled with warmth, wit and suspense. She will discuss her mystery novel, Widow’s Walk.
Breakfast is at 8:30 a.m. with the program following at 9 a.m. Cost remains $5. It is necessary to register in advance by calling 860-844-5352 or register on the Senior Center website.
Granby Bible Study
On the horizon: Saturday, May 16, a Civics for Christians program. This program will discuss Christian responsibilities in our current political climate. Also, join us for any of our ongoing free Bible programs: The Gospel of John, continues Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at Granby Town Hall. There’s also the 10 a.m. Tuesday Zoom class on the Book of Acts. Civic Club
The Granby Civic Club will go offsite for the Thursday, April 16 meeting to meet at the Holcomb Farm CSA Barn, 111 Simsbury Road, at 1 p.m. Farm Manager Joe O’Grady will talk about what’s new at the farm, what is being planted and the flexibility of the CSA food shares. He will also share the farm’s plans for the use of the former Methodist church building. All women are invited. Refreshments will be served. Spring Farmers’ Market
The Spring Farmers’ Market at Lost Acres Vineyard will be Thursday, April 2, 4 to 7 p.m. at 80 Lost Acres Road. Celebrate spring by stocking up on wine, veggies, milk, cheese, baked goods, pork, beef, lamb and more!
