The Granby Public Library will host a town-hall-style forum on Saturday, April 25 at 10:30 a.m. to share information about the Next Chapter Campaign—an effort to raise $3 million toward the library’s planned $12 million renovation and expansion.
The project has been in development for more than two years, shaped by input from residents, library leadership and town officials. With a $6 million bond issue set for a town vote and grant applications in progress, the Next Chapter Campaign is the third critical piece of the financing puzzle—and the piece that depends most directly on the Granby community.
The April 25 forum is an opportunity for residents to learn what the renovation and expansion would include, what it would cost, how it would be funded and its impact on the library’s ability to serve the town for decades to come. This is a significant public investment, and the forum is designed to give community members the information they need to understand it.
Library Director Amber Wyzik and members of the Next Chapter Campaign Cabinet will be on hand to walk through the project and answer questions.
