More than 110 Granby Land Trust members gathered for the 2025 GLT Annual Meeting and Potluck Supper on October 19 in Cook Hall at the Granby Congregational Church North Campus. Before the meeting, GLT Vice President Dave Emery led a hike through the Seth and Lucy Holcombe Preserve and onto the newly added Emery and Hart Family Preserves, to the Crag Mountain Lookout, where participants enjoyed spectacular views to the east and west.
At the meeting, GLT President Rick Orluk, Treasurer Dave Russell, and other members of the GLT Board reported on the health of the organization, detailed recent activities and acquisitions, including nearly 200 acres of land acquired in 2025. They also celebrated the Land Trust’s national re-accreditation;,viewed the premiere of the Emery and Hart Family Preserves Virtual Video Tour, elected new board members and thanked some of the GLT’s greatest supporters. Current directors Put Brown, Karen Dowd, Dave Russell and Perkin Simpson were unanimously re-elected for additional three-year terms; two new directors, Gary Adamson and Katherine Hall, were unanimously elected to the board.
