The Friends of Granby Public Libraries (FOGPL) closed the books on another highly successful annual sale in late July, raising more than $13,938.26 to support the town’s libraries.

Proceeds from the three-day event help fund books, magazines, DVDs, museum passes and special programs for patrons. Some donated items are also added directly into the library’s collection, saving acquisition costs.

This year’s sale was among the most successful in recent memory, thanks to generous donations from the community and steady turnout from shoppers. Behind the scenes, volunteers devoted countless hours sorting, organizing, and setting up thousands of items. There will be a volunteer luncheon on Saturday, Oct. 18, 10:30 a.m. at the Granby Public Library as a thank you for all their efforts.

“The Friends of Granby Public Libraries are deeply grateful to our generous sponsors, dedicated volunteers, and everyone who came out to shop,” organizers said. “Together, you made this year’s sale one of our best yet.”
