The Granby Racial Reconciliation (GRR) has for the past two years hosted a fun and well-attended Granby Celebrates Juneteenth Festival. While a Juneteenth event will still take place June 15 (this year in concert with other Farmington Valley towns), GRR is excited to host the first Granby Racial Unity Festival. This will take place on June 29, 2024, at Granby Memorial High School.
The Granby Racial Unity Festival will be an interracial arts and education festival designed to foster understanding and appreciation of our differences, while embracing and celebrating our commonalities. The festival takes inspiration from the concept of Race Amity, which emphasizes the importance of fostering friendship and connection among the races.
