A grant through the Small Town Economic Assistance Program (STEAP) will provide $126,800 in state funding for senior center kitchen renovations.
“The senior center is a hub of community activity,” Sen. John A. Kissel said. “We want to make sure it continues to be a safe, accessible and welcoming place for seniors to gather. We appreciate the governor’s attention to this remodeling project, and we will continue to work closely with Granby officials regarding future needs.”
“As an active member of the Granby Senior Center, I can attest to how integral this facility is to community development and engagement,” Rep. Mark Anderson said. “These renovations will go a long way in making sure that the monthly breakfasts and other activities have quality refreshments. I know our great staff will be eager to utilize the updated facility.”
