CTVV host Susan Regan interviewed Jeff Brown, chief information officer for the State of Connecticut to discuss the methods, objectives and strategy to protect the state from potential cyber attacks.

Before joining the state, Brown was a private sector IT security veteran for major financial corporations including AIG, GE Capital, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch, providing him with the skill set to assure that such financial challenges can be handled effectively.

Brown’s knowledge and expertise, while leading a team of 15 members, is essential as Connecticut’s administrative source for such activities, and the insight that he shares during this segment can be valuable for individuals and for small- to medium-size companies. He believes that an investment in private cyber security programs for a newly established business is a wise decision—securing the barn door before the horse is out of the barn.

Regan interviewed Brown in October; the month designated in 2022 to recognize the importance of being prepared for such attacks. Viewers can watch this segment via the local PATV station program schedule or you can see all CTVV shows on ctvalleviews.com
