Cheri Burke became the new superintendent of the Granby Public School System in July, coming to Granby from the Glastonbury School District where she was the assistant superintendent.
Susan Regan, host of CT Valley Views, had an interview with Burke to reinforce her objectives for the upcoming school year for all grades. First and foremost, her focus is on communication and a sound learning system—benefiting Granby students, their parents and all Granby citizens.
The theme for the year is “Let Kindness Ripple” for which Burke and the Granby Board of Education chose to establish a more civil tone for respecting others’ input and opinions in future challenges that will benefit Granby families and their children.
