JOY

After the darkness of winter, with the April sun, the forsythias’ buds open. Their tiny yellow flowers tell me spring is beginning again. I hear the songbirds singing, and all around me I see nature coming back to life. Daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths emerge from once-frozen ground. They add their glorious colors and beauty to the landscape.

It was the thought of this renewal that gave me hope in endless winter days. They are gifts from the Creator, and they give me great joy.
