The Forsythia’s Endurance

Throughout the long winter months, I’ve waited for spring and for my beloved forsythia to blossom again. With its branches weighed down with snow, the return of the forsythia’s beauty seemed far away.

Now, with the warming of the April sun, once again the forsythia cascades with yellow beauty near the road.

And, I think, is that not how life is—we, too, must wait with patience and hope for better things to come. Like the forsythia, we must learn to endure.
