Dave Roberts

Dave Roberts, a resident of West Granby, has been appointed by the National Grange Patrons of Husbandry President Betsy Huber, to represent the Grange on the United Nations Council of Organizations.

This is Roberts’ second appointment to this organization as he also serves as the Lions Clubs International representative on this organization, serves on the executive committee and is chairing the 75th Anniversary celebration this year.

Upon learning of his newest appointment, Roberts said, “I am humbled to now hold two appointments to the United Nations Council of Organizations. My family has belonged to the National Grange since 1908 and my daughter is a fifth generation Grange member.”

Roberts is very active in the National Grange organization serving as president of Riverton Grange, vice president of Mountain Laurel Pomona Grange, and Connecticut State Grange Program Director. He joined Riverton Grange at the invitation of his grandmother, the late State Representative Dorothy F. Roberts, in 1976 and has been a member ever since.

He was recently appointed to two other positions: chair of the Legislative Committee for Mountain Laurel Pomona, one of three regional Granges in the State of Connecticut; and treasurer of New England Lecturers Conference. The National PTA Reflections program encourages students of all ages and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts.
