I am writing in support of Dr. Fred Moffa’s candidacy for the Granby Board of Selectmen. I have lived in Granby for 35 years, and I have known Fred for more than two decades. In that time, I have come to respect Fred’s political wisdom and his deep commitment to the well-being of the citizens of Granby.
As one of Granby’s medical practitioners, Fred has owned and managed an eye-care practice in town for more than 20 years, and as an active and concerned citizen, he has served on our Board of Finance for 16 years. He is interested in growing Granby’s non-residential tax base while preserving our town’s open spaces and rural character; he also recognizes the need for Granby to invest in its communication infrastructure to ensure the rapid dispatch of fire and police services.
Finally, and perhaps most important, Fred recognizes the need for strong public schools that afford our children the opportunity to succeed in the 21st century workforce.
