For some, times of difficulty are ever present, as families live paycheck to paycheck; for others, tragedy strikes unexpectedly because of an accident, job loss, serious illness, or even death of a family member. To the extent that funds are available, The Salvation Army responds to unusual situations when people would otherwise fall between the cracks. In Granby the most frequent requests are for housing, energy and utility assistance. We help keep the lights on and the house warm!
The COVID pandemic has made life challenging for so many. This year, to ease the burden of parents as their children return to the classroom, we are providing shoes for 25 Granby children through our Back-to-School Assistance. Working through Granby Social Services, duplication of assistance is avoided so that we may be careful stewards of your dollars.
With continued and generous support from The Granby Community Fund and its donors, we are able to offer that hand up in times of crisis!
