We are pleased to endorse Sarah Thrall for reelection to the Granby Board of Education. We have known Sarah for over 15 years and have always been impressed with her service to the community. She has been on the BOE since 2017 and has always placed communication with parents and community members as one of her top priorities. She is opened-minded and always willing to listen to all points of view. In these challenging times, her steadfast leadership has assisted the town in maintaining our high educational standards. We encourage all residents to support Sarah for Board of Education.

I would like to express my support for Sarah Thrall in her re-election bid for the Board of Education. Sarah has been a dedicated member of the BOE for the past four years, including stepping into the role of the BOE Chair in December 2020, as well as chairing the Curriculum Subcommittee from Nov. 2019 thru Dec. 2020.

Sarah is selfless in giving of her time and experience to the community and the BOE has achieved outstanding accomplishments during her tenure. In particular, her guidance and diligence through the challenges of 2020 exemplified leadership which we are fortunate to have in our community. Granby has benefited in having Sarah on our Board of Education and she has demonstrated that she is a candidate who is highly qualified and acts to represent the best interests of our children.

I am writing to enthusiastically endorse the candidacy of Sarah Thrall, who is running for re-election to the Board of Education. I have known Sarah for more than a decade now, as both of my children have been classmates with her children since kindergarten.

Sarah has many attributes that help make Granby Public Schools stronger through her participation and leadership. Sarah has raised five children in town and is a long-time resident of Granby. She is deeply knowledgeable about our schools, their strengths, and their challenges. Sarah is a veteran of the Board of Education, having served on the Board for the past four years. Sarah is always present and contributes to the Granby Board of Education in many ways. During her tenure, she has chaired the Curriculum Committee, worked on faculty contract negotiations, and now has served as our Board chair since last December. As you know, this past year has been very challenging for Granby students, faculty, administrators, and families because of the unprecedented difficulties related to COVID-19. Under Sarah’s leadership as BOE chairperson, our schools were one of only a few in the state that remained open during the last pandemic.

To summarize, it is without hesitation that I endorse the candidacy of Sarah Thrall for the Granby Board of Education because of her deep and continuing commitment to our students, staff, and community.
