With a modest and endurable confidence, intelligence and genuine care for others, Kelly Rome has been an inspirational mentor in my life for as long as I can remember. As a young adult starting out in my career, it is important to have both female and male role models.
Kelly has not only been a strong proponent for fiscal responsibility exemplified through her work on the Board of Finance, but she has also been engaged in the community positively through various endeavors, such as volunteering with Junior Achievement and the Granby Rovers as a member of their boards, and working with the board of finance in conjunction with other boards to keep the mill rate flat, just to name a few. Kelly is the essence of what Granby strives to be—fiscally and socially responsible. Kelly is an inclusive leader. She has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years and is not only a leader for women but for all. Kelly isn’t afraid to do what’s right and does so in the most considerate and respectful way. She takes great care in using her knowledge, experience, skills, and common sense to negotiate positive results. I cherish her friendship and trust her to make decisions that are right for Granby today, with a vision for the future.
I am looking forward to supporting and voting for Kelly Rome for the Board of Selectmen of the Town of Granby, and I hope that you will come out and vote as well!
